Survival of the Fittest

We live in a nuclear set up, its me-my husband (referred as S) and our 16 months old super naughty toddler (referred as Y). When Y was born, S and I had an ideal parenting picture in mind but while Y was bidding adieu to his baby year, we realized that he is the boss and all we can do is SURVIVE. The feeling of being on the back seat striked when he started to toddle with his little feet. He wanted to go out and explore and we had no choice but to follow. Toddlers deal with a tsunami of emotions just like us adults, the difference is this that we adults can be vocal about it and the little humans can only throw a tantrum and cry uncontrollably. Anyway, initially Y was happy exploring and we were happy following until he started exploring all the things which theoretically he was not supposed to touch. There started our babyproofing saga.
